Rice bran is a bran-based scrap produced during rice processing. Many people use rice bran as feed to feed livestock. In fact, rice bran is also an oil crop, and the nutritional value of rice bran oil is extremely high. Rice bran oil content is 16% – 22%, unsaturated fatty acid content is as high as 70%, of which oleic acid is 42%, linoleic acid is 38%, and is rich in oryzanol. Oryzanol has the effects of reducing platelet aggregation, reducing liver cholesterol synthesis and lowering cholesterol absorption. Rice bran oil is not only edible oil, but also health oil. It is very effective in lowering cholesterol by softening blood vessels.

The pressing of rice bran oil is generally carried out by screw oil press machine. When the screw oil press presses the rice bran, the rice bran must first be fried by the frying machine, and the fry can be scented. The rice bran oil press produced by our company has precise pressing temperature control, large pressure and small oil line gap. The pressed rice bran oil can not only improve the oil yield, but also preserve the unsaturated fatty acid in rice bran oil and reduce the nutrient loss.

1. Oil Pressing Section

Rice bran should be drying and frying for fresh rice bran , storeage time is less than 3 days before pressing or the quaility will be reduced and effect the final oil quality. The oil pressing plant is composed of cleaning process, drying units, pressing unit, conveyor, electrical cabinet box,etc. It’s complete set of oil pressing equipment, which is automatically operated to save more labor and cost.

2. Solvent Extraction Section

This process is for more than 50t oil mills. Certainly if the capacity is less than 50 tons, or it is high rate of output oil , this process could be saved . The second way to extract oil for using chemical solvent to dissolve oil content contained in cake or direct oil seeds, only for lower oil seeds, for example soybean. Then oil is separated from solvent by vaporizing solvent out. In configuring the solvent extraction plant, pre-pressing may be involved in which case seeds are lightly pressed, and which leaves about 14% to 18% oil in the pressed cake. Solvent extraction will further process these cakes and leave less than 1% oil in the final cake. This method results in higher yields, more oil; lower power consumption, lower wear & tear / maintenance and high extract efficiency. Thus it could be used as complementary equipment to extract the oil remained in cake, which yields are extra profits.

3. Oil Refining Section

The crude vegetable oil from above mentioned two ways of extracting, oil pressing and solvent extraction will be pumped into oil refinery units to produce rice bran oil at various grades.
The main equipment of rice bran oil refinery is various kinds of vessels and tanks carrying on different tasks. These tasks may include filtering, neutralization, degumming, decolorization, deodorization, dewax, etc. Different combination of steps and the treating degree of each step result in different grade rice bran oil.
